SCORE offers individual mentoring to small business owners, as well as online seminars on current topics in the business community, such as using AI, E-Commerce, book-keeping, and more. Mentoring through SCORE is free, and helps entrepreneurs grow and develop their business and help it thrive. The SBDC (Small Business Development Center) offers free consulting, low-cost seminars, and connections to resources for existing business owners or anyone wanting to start a business. This statewide service is funded through the Small Business Administration, with the office closest to Abbeville located in Greenwood at 430 Helix Rd. By offering one-on-one consulting, SBDC staff can assist with things like writing a business plan, developing financial best practices, marketing, employee management, and creating LLC’s for new ventures.
