The program is administered by the Abbeville County Chamber of Commerce and delivered in partnership with the Furman University Center for Innovative Leadership, combining professional leadership instruction with local, real-world immersion

Leadership Abbeville is Abbeville County’s leadership development program created to build stronger leaders for the workplaces, organizations, and institutions that shape our community.

Administered by the Abbeville County Chamber of Commerce, the program brings together a diverse cohort of professionals from across sectors to learn, engage, and grow together. Participants gain a deeper understanding of how Abbeville County functions, including its industries, public services, and community systems, while strengthening leadership skills that translate directly to their professional roles.

Leadership Abbeville emphasizes practical, real-world learning. Through facilitated discussions, site visits, and immersive experiences, participants explore how leadership shows up in complex environments and how collaboration across sectors strengthens both organizations and communities.

The program is intentionally designed for working professionals. Learning is focused, applied, and connected to real challenges leaders face every day. This approach helps participants become more effective team leaders, communicators, and problem-solvers while developing a broader community perspective.
