The Abbeville County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program is a group of engaged volunteers who serve as the public face of the Chamber. Ambassadors help welcome new businesses, support Chamber events, and strengthen connections across our local business community.

Often the first people a new member meets, Ambassadors are also the familiar faces that help existing members feel informed, supported, and involved.

What Is a Chamber Ambassador?

Chamber Ambassadors are community-minded professionals who serve as:

  • Greeters and hosts at Chamber events

  • Advocates for local businesses

  • Connectors who help members build relationships

  • Champions for Abbeville County’s growth and success

Through visibility, service, and relationship-building, Ambassadors play a vital role in advancing the Chamber’s mission to support business, promote tourism, and strengthen community.

What Ambassadors Do?

Ambassadors may assist with:

  • Staffing Chamber events, ribbon cuttings, and celebrations

  • Welcoming new members and helping them get connected

  • Serving as a point of contact for member businesses

  • Representing the Chamber positively

  • Supporting special initiatives, programs, and signature events

Participation is designed to be meaningful, flexible, and manageable, so Ambassadors are not required to attend every event.
