Abbeville Nursing Home

Abbeville Nursing Home, Inc., located at 83 Thompson Circle, Abbeville, operates a (94) ninety-four bed skilled nursing facility. This facility began operation in 1968. Our facility staff consists of approximately (120) one hundred twenty individuals through employment or under contract.

Services we provide include:

  • Skilled Nursing Services – (24) twenty-four hour care

  • Therapeutic Dietary Services

  • Activity Services (individual and group)

  • Social Services

  • Physical Therapy

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Speech Therapy

  • Transportation (facility and contracted)

  • Laundry Services

The facility is strategically located across the street from Abbeville Area Medical Center and the Physician Office Complex.

Abbeville Medical Center

Abbeville Area Medical Center has been offering professional, compassionate care to its patients since 1919. Located just off of Highway 72 on Thomson Circle, the hospital moved into a new facility in 2006.

AAMC is a 25-bed Critical Access not-for-profit hospital governed by a Board of Trustees that consists of community members who have a genuine interest in keeping quality healthcare in our community.

AAMC offers a full range of services including a 24-hour emergency room; medical/surgical floor; intensive/critical care unit; laboratory; radiology department complete with a mobile MRI, CT, mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and bone densitometry services; in-patient and out-patient surgery; stress testing; physical therapy; home health services; home medical equipment; sleep study; neurological services; community wellness program and cardiopulmonary rehab.

Health fairs that include health screenings and education are also available to community groups and organizations.

 With a medical staff of more than 30 physicians, if you’re in need of a family or internal medicine physician, surgeon, ENT or orthopedic specialist, or even emergency care, AAMC can meet your needs. Nurses, staff and physicians work as a team and keep the best interest of the patient in mind.
